Publisher and community newspaper leader, Frank Garred owned and operated community newspapers on the Olympic Peninsula from 1967 to 2002, including The Port Townsend Leader. He’s been president of the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce, president of the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors, and a member, representing the National Newspaper Association, of the Accrediting Council for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications.
