“We are Huskies and we don’t pull the sled alone.”
—UW Communication Alumni Hall of Fame member, Kathleen Miller

Thanks to the support and expertise of our alumni community, UW Communication offers a variety of experiential learning opportunities for our students, known collectively as Career Kickstart. These include Career Exploration trips to Los Angeles, New York City, Washington DC, and Seattle workplaces, internships in journalism and strategic communication, skills workshops, career mentoring discussion panels, Ask-Me-Anything advice sessions, and more.

Now more than ever, professional and career development opportunities are essential as our students seek to distinguish themselves and prepare for an evolving professional landscape. If you are interested in supporting our students as they prepare for life after UW, we have many ways for you to join our pack of Husky alumni who make Career Kickstart possible. We invite you to share your professional wisdom on forthcoming career panels, to lead professional skills workshops, or to host students for a workspace visit.

If you have knowledge or skills to share, we invite you to let us know!
