UWCOM Professional Development Workshops
Our UWCOM workshops are catered towards undergraduate students looking to develop their skills in the multimedia sphere. Because technology is rapidly changing, we aim to change with it. We’d love to have you decide to take that step with us.
In today’s world, communication and technology are intricately woven together. The ways we communicate thoughts, ideas, and creative inspiration to others across the globe with a simple internet connection is powerful.
These development workshops aim to provide you the tools and the resources to communicate those ideas effectively on a variety of platforms such as videos, sound media, blogs, and even your resume.
These workshops are leg by our professional UWCOM department staff and are held on campus in the Communication Building (CMU).
UWCOM offers workshops that include the following:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- Audacity
Workshops range from beginner to advanced and are dependent on student responses.

In addition to our UWCOM workshops provided by our professional staff, we also offer other career development workshops. Over the course of the academic year, we will bring in UW Communication alumni and affiliated professionals to share their knowledge, expertise, and passion.
