Jacque Coe, APR, Fellow PRSA is a communications strategist and public relations expert who has led communications for avariety oflarge, high-profile public agencies and organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
No stranger to challenge, Jacque has directed communications for three state agencies (Washington State Department of Corrections, Washington’s Lottery, and the Dairy Farmers of Washington), two major urban school districts (Bellevue School District and Seattle Public Schools), two hospitality associations (Seattle Restaurant Alliance and Seattle Hotel Association), and a fast-growing education non-profit (Alliance for Education).She currently oversees executive and internal communications for the Washington State Department of Ecology.
Jacque specializes in strategy, operations, media relations, issues management and crisis communications. Her first career was in broadcast news as a television news director, anchor, reporter, assignment editor, and planning editor, most recently at KING-TV in Seattle. She is a passionate evangelist for her profession through the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), holding volunteer roles at the local, regional and national level. Jacque served as chair of the three-day, nine state PRSA Game Changers Conference in Seattle for communications and public relations professionals, and is a past president of the Puget Sound chapter of PRSA.
She is the current faculty advisor for the University of Washington chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), and leading a statewide campaign to support student memberships on Washington State campuses in PRSSA. In 2024, Jacque was honored by the PRSA Puget Sound with the chapter’s PR Professional of the Year Award for her successful efforts to revive UW PRSSA.
Jacque is accredited in public relations (PRSA-Universal Accreditation Board), and certificated in public engagement (International Association of Public Participation (IAP2)).In 2023, Jacque was inducted into the PRSA College of Fellows in Nashville. Her career is marked by strategy, courage, results, leadership, and a wicked sense of humor. She lives in Seattle with her husband and enjoys sailing, photography, gardening, and cooking.
