The Alumni Award for Excellence in Mentoring is given to alumni in recognition of their invaluable contributions of expertise, time, and advice to University of Washington Department of Communication undergraduate and graduate students. Outstanding alumni mentors are people who consistently dig deep into their resources to connect academic with professional and personal learning experiences. They work closely with faculty and staff, paying it forward to provide creative and generous mentoring that promotes leadership and opportunity for all.
