Taylor Blatchford is a reporter for The Seattle Times’ Mental Health Project. Her reporting focuses on local government policymaking and spending related to mental health and crisis care, and also edits Mental Health Perspectives guest columns from community members and plans community events. She was previously a member of The Times’ investigative and digital teams. Her work has been recognized by Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Society for Features Journalism and the Washington Coalition for Open Government. Blatchford holds a master’s degree in journalism education from Kent State University and a bachelor’s degree in investigative journalism from the University of Missouri.
