Our Year
It was an exciting and busy year here at UW Communication! Students participated in Career Exploration Trips to New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and Seattle to meet with leading communication professionals in TV production, journalism, public relations, political communications, and more.We inducted three new members into our Alumni Hall of Fame, and honored distinguished alumni for their excellence in leadership, mentoring, and early career success. We celebrated 70 students for their academic and research accomplishments at our annual Scholarship and Excellence Awards ceremony. In June, over 400 graduates joined our robust network of alumni at our department’s commencement celebration in UW’s Alaska Airlines Arena. UW Communication continues to foster community and connections well beyond graduation. Our alumni network is tens of thousands strong and includes professionals working across a variety of communication fields.
