Every year, the UW Department of Communication honors outstanding alumni who are making a difference in their careers and communities by inducting them into the Department’s Alumni Hall of Fame. This award is for outstanding alumni who have distinguished themselves through acts of service and their professional achievements since graduating from the University of Washington.
We also recognize our exceptional recent graduates through the Outstanding Early Career Award. Through this award, the department celebrates recent graduates (within approximately 10 years of the award year) who have shown both impressive early career success, and a commitment to the public good, through their work.
The Alumni Award for Excellence in Mentoring celebrates graduates of the department whose invaluable contributions of expertise, time, and advice provides our students with new avenues to explore leadership opportunities within their own careers. It also recognizes those working alongside our faculty to foster a multigenerational community within (and beyond) the classroom.
The Communication Leader Award recognizes a Communication Leadership graduate program alumni who embodies the program’s four core values: Creativity, Leadership, Story, and Community, and has made a significant contribution to our field in a unique, emergent way.
Do you know of an outstanding communication graduate who deserves one of these honors?
